The Hurstbourne Acres Police Department is committed to working with the community to instill public confidence in our agency by providing a professional level of service through a partnership with our citizens.
The community policing partnership draws people together to enhance the quality of life and the common good; a safe and peaceful community where individuals, families and businesses thrive. THE GOALS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT…
To develop an effective, efficient and responsive management system for the Hurstbourne Acres Police Department.
To increase the interaction between the citizens of Hurstbourne Acres and the members of the police department in order to foster a proactive environment for crime prevention and community safety.
To increase job satisfaction and retention for members of the Hurstbourne Acres Police Department.
To elevate the Hurstbourne Acres Police Department as the premier small police department in eastern Jefferson County.
To increase staffing levels to provide 24 hour coverage.

Because we believe that effective policing is accomplished by police/community teamwork to identify problems and work together to reduce crime and the fear of it.
